Fortuna Business Resiliency Emergency Loan Program

In response to business impacts related to COVID-19, the City of Fortuna is committed to providing financial support to Fortuna's businesses to help them weather the resulting economic downturn.

On April 6, 2020, the Fortuna City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-14, which creates an emergency business loan fund for a rapid response to COVID-19 impacts on local businesses.

Loans of up to $25,000 are available to Fortuna businesses.

To apply for funding, please download and complete the following applications:

  1. Fortuna Emergency Loan Application

  2. RREDC Emergency Loan Application

When both the RREDC loan application and the City of Fortuna application are completed, and all your information is together, please contact the Fortuna Business Improvement District (725-9261) for next steps. Please DO NOT EMAIL THE RREDC APPLICATION as email is not secure!

FBID will be taking a copy of the City of Fortuna Application when you complete it (please omit the SSN) and send it to FBID Executive Director Dianna Rios. The information will be compiled into a spreadsheet for the City Manager and the City Finance Director. Once this information is received, you will receive a link to a secure Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC) website to upload the data.

As part of the loan process, you need to be working with the North Coast Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Please contact the North Coast SBDC ( 445-9720) to request a business advisor for help with funding during COVID-19.
