History
Today there are approximately 12,000 residents in Fortuna. We're proud stewards of the vast forests that surround us. We hope you will feel as humbled as we do to stand in front of giant trees that are older than the Roman Empire.

Getting Here
Using US Highway 101 N: Fortuna is approximately 250 miles from San Francisco, about a 5 hour pleasant drive through wine and redwood country.
Use Interstate 5 and US Highway 101 S: Fortuna is approximately 429 miles from Portland, about a 7.5 hour drive along the beautiful Oregon coast and the striking Cascade Range.

Fenced Dog Park
Right off U.S. Highway 101 on Dinsmore Drive, you and your four-legged friend, big or small, will find tons of fenced-off space to play. After a good game of tug-of-war, take refuge under the park's shaded gazebo area or head downtown, where you’ll find lots of dog-friendly restaurants with patio seating for you and your pup.
