Keep Business Local

This program helps to keep the Fortuna community shopping and buying locally and promotes participating businesses throughout the area. This means that the savings opportunities that our Fortuna businesses are offering will only be offered to Fortuna Loyalty Cardholders, providing unique deals and discounts in gratitude for their commitment to shopping small and their loyalty in supporting our local businesses. The Fortuna Loyalty Card program helps keep business local but also extends its promotional reach to neighboring towns like Eureka, Ferndale, and beyond to include all Fortuna Chamber member businesses in those cities.

Participating Businesses and Offers

All kinds of businesses can participate in this program including restaurants, chiropractors, hair salons, financial firms, hardware stores, print shops, realtors, photographers, mortgage companies, retail, lodging, and more. Typical offers might include a special meal deal or percentage off your purchase, free consultation, free trial, or free samples. They might also include giveaway items (branded merchandise) for new account holders/clients or patients, filling out a survey, or signing up for a particular service the business offers.

How do I use my Loyalty Card?

Using your Card is as easy as presenting it to the cashier at the time of purchase. The participating business will apply your discount once you show your Loyalty Card. Some discounts may be for online purchases and require a unique discount code at checkout.

Card Benefits for Businesses

Companies that offer discounts will receive publicity on social media, the Chamber’s Quarterly Newsletter, weekly emails, and have their listing published on fortunachamber.com. The Chamber will provide signage to participating businesses that remind shoppers to use their Fortuna Loyalty Card. Each participating company will receive one free Fortuna Loyalty Card as a thank you for joining. Additional cards can be purchased separately.

How to Join the Program

Fortuna businesses and Chamber member business in/outside of Fortuna can sign up for free to be included in the program.

Decide on an Offer: Decide what type of offer would benefit your business best whether to attract new business or increase your business with existing customers (or both). Your offer can be a business-to-business offer or an offer to consumers as a whole… you decide. The offer can be for goods, services, or both. Typical offers include discounted goods/services, free consultations, free trials, and free samples. They might also include giveaway items for new account holders or clients, filling out a survey, or signing up for your newsletter. The possibilities are endless! We can help you create a special promotion specific to your business; just give us a call at 725-3959.

Fill out our Form: To be a business offering a discount, the business owner must fill out a simple form stating their proposed discount/offer. The discount or promotion must be valid for a minimum of one month but we recommend at least quarterly for the best exposure. For your convenience, you can fill out our form online to initiate the process or download a PDF form. Please mail your completed form to Fortuna Chamber, 735 14th Street, Fortuna, CA 95540. You can also email your completed form to ceo@fortunachamber.com.

How to Purchase a Fortuna Loyalty Card

Fortuna Loyalty Cards will be available for purchase directly from the Fortuna Chamber or on our website. Each card is $20.00 (Chamber members will receive a special price of $10). Bulk pricing is available for 5 or more cards. Just give us a call at 725-3959.

Expiration Date

The Fortuna Loyalty Card does not expire, however, some offers have expiration dates set by the business.

General Guidelines

Cards have no cash value. Participating businesses are required to notify the Chamber when they need to change or discontinue a discount/promotion.
